Lesson 4— Video Related Prompts
The principles of prompting also apply to AI video tools. In this course, we will mainly use InVideo and related tools.
Adding Motion to Images
Turning a still image into a short video animation.
Example – Motion from still image:
- Prompt:
“Create a 5-second video starting with this still image of a boat on the water. Make the water gently move and the boat rock slightly. Do not add sound.”
Interpolating Between Images
Smoothly transitioning between one image and another.
Example – Image interpolation:
- Prompt:
“Create a 7-second video that smoothly transitions from this daytime city skyline photo to this nighttime skyline photo, as if time is passing from day to night.”
Colorizing a Video
Using tools like editingtools.io to add color to black-and-white footage.
Example – Colorization:
- Prompt:
“Colorize this 10-second black-and-white video clip of people walking in a park. Use natural skin tones and soft daylight colors, keeping the historical feel.”
Generate Video from a Prompt
Creating a video from scratch based on a detailed text description.
Example – Full prompt → video:
- Prompt:
“Generate a 10-second video of a futuristic classroom where students are working on holographic screens. The camera slowly moves from left to right. Use a bright, optimistic color palette.”
Generating a Script-Reading Avatar
Using tools such as app.elai.io to create an avatar that reads a script.
Example – Training avatar:
- Prompt:
“Create a 60-second video of a professional female avatar standing in front of a simple white background, reading this script about our new AI training course. Use clear, neutral English pronunciation.”
(Attach the script.)
Adding and Removing Objects in Video
Example – Removing:
- Prompt:
“In this 8-second video of a person talking, remove the coffee cup from the table and fill the area so it looks natural.”
Example – Adding:
- Prompt:
“In this video of a street scene, add soft, falling snow throughout the clip to make it look like winter.”
Automated Subtitling
AI can generate subtitles automatically or with prompts.
Example 1 – Create subtitles:
- Prompt:
“Generate English subtitles for this 2-minute video and export them as an SRT file.”
Example 2 – Translate subtitles:
- Prompt:
“Translate these English subtitles into Spanish, keeping the same time codes and line breaks.”
